To bedward be you merry or have merry company about you, so that to bedward no anger nor heaviness, sorrow nor pensifulness do trouble or disquiet you.

Andrew Borde, from my Franklin Planner. Andrew Boorde or Borde (1490–April 1549) was an English traveller, physician and writer.

I have never heard of bedward before, and I believe pensifulness (although not on dictionary.com) has something to do with being pensive.

This quote really makes no sense, but this is my take:

Don’t go to bed angry or with angry people, so you can get a good night’s rest and not be bothered by your thoughts or others.

Just had to tumblog this because of the crazy English.
